長光社區舊稱石坑，位處石坑溪南岸，海岸山脈東麓，於長濱北方約 一公里 處。原址為現城子埔後方西側近溪流之高地。昭和2年海岸公路修築時，日本政府為便於管理將部落迫遷至現址，並取名為石坑社。戰後改名長光，石坑部落居民主要來自大港口，納納與奇美三社，行政區屬長濱村第19－26鄰，居民約400戶，為東海岸中段最大阿美族聚落。參展藝術家海地（Heidi Yip）將於為期兩週的旅程中，以石坑部落為中心，將其繪畫作為介於幻想和詩意之間的儀式性行為。以部落旁東海岸的11號公路為起點，往海岸山脈方向延伸，一面旅行一邊在途中不特定的地點、建築、物件上進行繪畫創作。本區作品實際展出資訊視藝術家旅行之情況可能有所更動，欲前往該地觀展的旅客請密切注意網站訊息。
Ciwkangan Village 石坑 is located on the east coast of Taiwan, Taitung. The name Ciwkangan was named during the japan occupation, there are about 400 Pancha (Amis Tribe) residence living in the village. It is the largest Pancha village on the east coast.
This is a 2 weeks traveling project combining drawings with the nature & man made surroundings in Ciwkangan village. Project will start on 10 September ~25 September 2010. Please contact Heidi for more info.
